Information for Parents
Here at Cannabis Survival we aim to protect teenagers from using dangerous drugs like cannabis through various strategies that you can also use at home. For example, we strive to educate teenagers on the actual drug, it's dangers and it's impacts. This strategy is effective as it allows teenagers to recognise the drug if they are offered it and then they are able to make educated decisions on whether to smoke it or not. They will feel better about saying no if it is their own decision not a teacher's or a parent's or any sort of authority's. Another technique we use to help prevent teenage cannabis usage is providing tips and alternatives for doing drugs. For example, in our Alternatives page, we list various ideas to try instead of smoking cannabis, depending on the reasons you want to use it for. This is effective as all the suggestions are neatly laid out and are very accessible so even the laziest teenager will have no difficulties finding a suitable solution that is a lot healthier than doing drugs, without having to go through extensive effort to get there. The final technique we use is real life examples of teenagers affected by drug use or news articles and reports on what cannabis does to an adolescent's brain. This is an extremely successful technique in stopping teenage drug use as it shows the reality of drugs and their serious consequences, without the 'glamour' that often surrounds drugs in the media. It shows that drug abuse is a serious and extremely real issue that must be taken seriously. Overall, at Cannabis Survival we use extremely effective techniques to gently encourage teenagers not to engage in cannabis usage and due to the fact that all our information is on the internet, makes it so useful and accessible to anyone and everyone, any time and anywhere.
